She was a native of Crowley. She loved animals, her cats and dogs. She also enjoyed working on crafts, playing online games and loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a really good cook and she enjoyed dancing.Survivors include her husband, Kenny May; two daughters, Zoee May and Becky May both of North Carolina; one son, Tyler Jackson of North Carolina; four sisters, Diana Craigen of Fannett, Texas, Gwen Simon of Mermentau and Vanessa Reed and Chanti Deshotel, both of Crowley; one brother, Kirk LeBlanc of Dallas, Texas; and one grandchild, Teigan May.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Lee and Mary Ann Guidry LeBlanc, Sr., one daughter, Melissa Terrell; one son, Robert William Terrell, Jr.; and one brother, Harry LeBlanc, Jr.Pallbearers will be Charles LeBlanc, Nicholas LeBlanc, Troy Guillory, Mike Perrio, Jr., Chad Craigen and Dayne Gotreaux.Words of comfort may be expressed to the family at www.miguezfuneralhome.com.

Jennings regretfully announce his passing from this life on Thursday, July 26, 2018.Funeral services to honor Earl’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings today, Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.Visitation was held at the funeral home beginning on Monday, July 30, from 5-7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. The family requests that visitation resume today, Tuesday, July 31, from 8 a.m. until the time of his service.Earl’s family is honoring his wishes to be cremated and burial will follow at a later date.He was born in Kinder to Rollie Gordon Mayfield and Lena Mae Alphonse Mayfield on Sept. 13, 1924. Earl served our country honorably in the United States Army. He worked for Gulf States Utilities for 39 years until he retired. Earl was a member of the American Legion and served as a Blue Angel for 14 years at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He also served for many years as an umpire for the Jennings youth softball summer programs. Earl was truly cherished and loved by many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Earl is survived by his son, Earl Everett Mayfield, Jr. (Marilyn) of Atlanta, Ga.; his daughter, Patricia Frances Mayfield of Lafayette; his son-in-law, Bruce Brown of Lafayette; his granddaughter, Beth Gearheard (Nall) of Atlanta, Ga.; his three great-grandchildren, Eli, Walker and Ella Grace Gearheard, all of Atlanta, Ga.; his brother, Norman Johnson, Jr. of The Woodlands, Texas; and his two sisters, Dorothy Mayfield of Lake Charles and Mary Louise Manuel of Kinder.Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Ethel Leger Mayfield; his parents, Rollie and Lena Mayfield; his daughter, Barbara Ann Mayfield Brown; his sister, Ruby Mayfield Creswell; and his two brothers, Rollie Gordon “R.G.” Mayfield, and Glen Mayfield.To extend online condolences, please visit www.matthewsandsonfuneralhome.net.

Loureta Jones Rogers

Reta was born on March 31, 1930, in Waleska; she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Jones and the late Ethel Fields Jones. Reta was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church in White. Loureta Jones and Ben Rogers were married on December 19, 1953, and the couple enjoyed forty-six years as man and wife until Ben passed away on June 16, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, Reta was preceded in death by her brother, Reverend James M.
